My journey started when my mom met my dad while working in the CRPF back in India. Born in Gandhinagar Gujarat, I share my birth state with Mahatma Gandhi. I’ve traveled my whole life due to my parents constant postings. This is how I became the person that I am now. I was encouraged to be open, forced to be charming, and fell in love with CHANGE.

Change has been the most prominent constant in my life after my family. It has shaped me, driven me, broken me and taught me everything I know. I changed several schools, spent memorable six years at Loreto Convent School in Delhi, India. Going to a convent (all girls) school enhanced my confidence. I focused on the right things, and my parents guided me the best they could. Shockingly enough, I tried different paths in college as well. I knew I am creative hence chose to pursue Fashion Design for a short while. After realizing that I love science and math equally as being creative I chose to pursue Aerospace Engineering at a college in India, Manipal University. My time at Manipal University was a blessing. I met people from all over India and socialized as much as I could. I focused on having as much fun as I was studying. After a year at Manipal University, I transferred to Iowa State University in Ames, IA. I was on my own, completely free, and I LOVED it.

People say things about Iowa that are not pleasant, it’s because they haven’t lived there. I found the most welcoming community, learned teachers, incredible education, closest friends and immensely fun adventures at Iowa State.
